NORTH DAKOTA TAX CREDIT AVAILABLE! Just passed in the 2009 Legislature - (HB 1277): The tax credit on the geothermal systems is now available on ND-1 (short-form). It covers three percent of the costs of materials and installation for five years, so it’s a 15 percent credit spread out over five years. There is also a carryover provision - if a person can’t use the entire credit in a given year. (as per the Tax Dept.).This is now in place for those systems installed after December 31, 2008
